As parents, we know how important it is for you to feel that you have chosen the best education for your child, so you can rest assured that your child will receive the best care and education in our nursery. Welsh is the language of the nursery but we welcome all children in the area no matter what language is spoken at home.

The aim of our setting is to promote the education and development of children from two years old to school age. Children have the opportunity to socialize and learn through play led by our professional, friendly and enthusiastic staff.

The provision is registered with CIW and also has received an ESTYN Inspection survey.

Tedi Twt adopts The Curiosity Approach throughout the setting, giving the children the freedom to learn in their own way and be creative in the way in which we learn. A Curiosity Approach early years setting looks very different from what you’d usually expect from a nursery. There are no brightly coloured walls or shiny plastic toys that make noises. Instead the focus of the physical environment is on natural materials, neutral tones, white-washed walls and wooden objects. Children are encouraged to play with household items of bric-a-brac, such as nuts and bolts, garden canes, hessian and curtain rings. it is about developing skills that will be relevant to children growing up in an ever-changing world.

By choosing Welsh-medium education, you’ll be giving your child an additional life skill - the ability to communicate in two languages, both spoken and written. Studies show that people who are bilingual find it easier to learn other languages - a clear advantage for your child in school. Just over a third of employers think Welsh language skills are important for their customer service, and over a quarter of employers think they would benefit from more Welsh language skills. Children’s bilingual skills develop best if used daily, and Welsh-medium or bilingual education gives a child a daily opportunity to develop their language skills, becoming increasingly fluent and confident.
